The Reconfigurable Monitoring Systems (RMS) project aims at the
design of the generic architecture of monitoring systems which
are customisable and adaptable to various monitoring applications,
varying users needs and changing characteristics of monitored systems.
The above goals are achieved by taking advantage of the modern
technology of object-oriented and distributed information systems
development, namely Component Oriented Programming (COP). The
main outcome of the project is the generic component framework which
enables to develop adaptable monitoring environments. This framework
is based on the CORBA architecture.
The RMS project is a part of Jakub Szymaszek's PhD
thesis.
